Your information should serve the repair—not travel further.
This page explains the privacy principles for Zimky’s repair platform. Updated October 8, 2026.
What Zimky does
Zimky provides digital job cards and repair-progress tracking for service shops. Customers do not create accounts or browse shops. A customer interacts with Zimky only after a shop creates a job card and shares secure tracking access.
Shop applications and accounts
We process submitted business, owner, contact, address, category, service, map and optional referral details to review a shop and operate its account. Approved shop owners sign in through Firebase Authentication.
Job-card information
A participating shop may enter customer contact details, item or vehicle details, reported work, dates, status, estimates and payment status. Internal shop notes and administrative records are never intended for public tracking pages.
Customer tracking
Customers use a private, hard-to-guess tracking link or a verified manual tracking process. The tracking page shows only the safe fields needed to follow the repair. Keep tracking links private because anyone holding a valid link may be able to view its permitted details.
Pickup OTP and notifications
Zimky may generate a pickup OTP and record notification delivery attempts. Shops use the OTP to verify collection before closing a job. Automatic SMS and WhatsApp delivery are not currently enabled; shops share tracking access directly. We do not ask customers to share passwords or payment credentials through tracking.
Retention and protection
Customer-identifying job data is scheduled for anonymization 30 days after a job is closed, cancelled or declined under the current retention setting. The scheduled cleanup removes its private tracking record when anonymization runs. Financial, plan, coin, tax, fraud-prevention and audit records may be retained longer when needed for operations, security or legal obligations. Access is restricted through authentication, App Check, backend validation, request limits and database security rules.
Service providers and contact
Zimky uses Firebase for hosting, authentication, database and backend services. Razorpay, and later an approved SMS or WhatsApp provider, process only the information required for their service under their own terms. For privacy questions, contact zimky.official7@gmail.com.
Customer QR requests
Vehicle shops may offer a QR form. Submission creates a pending request, not a registered job. Only your shop can review and approve it. Pending and rejected requests expire after 30 days and are removed by daily privacy maintenance. On approval, the job follows our existing retention policy. Keep your request and tracking links private: anyone with the complete link can view the limited status information.
